Mozart composed beautiful symphonies by the age of ten. Josiah became the king of Judah at the age of nine. At the age of eight, Johnny Smith carried a bullfrog in the pocket of his pants two miles just so he could scare his sister ... Kids will be kids!
At Canyon Hills we believe in reaching kids right where they are - Mozart or Johnny. That's why we strive to create an atmosphere filled with fun, laughter and the presence of God. Our programs are designed to attract the hearts of children in such a way that they truly want to come back each week to meet with God and learn about Him in creative (and sometimes even messy) ways, bullfrogs and all.
Sunday School -
In Sunday School, Bible truths are taught with lessons geared to each age level. Each classroom is staffed by trained volunteers who are deeply committed to the spiritual growth of the youngsters. By the time a child has graduated from our Children's Sunday School, they have traveled through the entire Bible!
Sunday School classes are offered for children of every age and meet in the Gym at 10:00 am.
Children's Church -
At Canyon Hills we have an interactive children's church program that will challenge your kids to explore and apply Biblical truths! It provides an exciting experience for our children as the children participate in our high energy method of presentation. In Galaxy Kidz, your child will experience Biblical instruction through our interactive multimedia video lessons. These lessons are supplemented with dramas and games, and are sure to stimulate your child's interest in the things of God. Your child will also have the opportunity to participate in a time of friendly competition, games, Bible memorization, and a devotional time with small-group leaders. In Galaxy Kidz there is also a live high frequency worship team made up of children in the ministry. In Galaxy Kidz, your child will learn foundational principles they can carry for life!
Galaxy Kidz meet in the Gym during the 8:30 and 11:00 services on Sunday mornings.
