The Canyon Hills Food Pantry Program is a ministry dedicated to helping feed hungry individuals and families right here in our own community. It is our desire to see an end to hunger and it's demoralizing conditions and to restore hope to hurting individuals and families by meeting them at their point of need … hunger!
Since the Food Pantry's inception hundreds of families have been served by this ministry. The goal of the ministry is not the simple provision of food but the building of relationships that will encourage people and lead them to an encounter with Jesus Christ.
The Food Pantry operates on the first and third Sunday of each month in distribution to individuals and families. Still, there is so much behind the scenes work in maintaining the Pantry, recruiting food and volunteers, and connecting to needy people that we are in need to help from people just like yourself. You can assist in the Food Pantry in many different areas. Perhaps the easiest way to get involved is by bringing in canned goods or non-perishable foods to stock the Pantry.
The Canyon Hills Food Pantry is one of the many "felt-need" ministries that reach people at their point of need. Come and join us in this effort as we feed people food for their body and food for their soul!
Preparation Dates
-Every Saturday before distribution Sunday from 10:00am to 12:00 noon.
-The week before distribution volunteers gather food from local food sites in preparation for Sunday distribution. Call the church office at 871-1150 for more details.
Food Donations
You can make a donation in the church lobby or drop off food in the Pantry basket. This is a wonderful opportunity to teach your children how to serve the needy. Share the need with you child and have them bring the food!
The Food Pantry is open on the first and third Sunday of each month from 11:00 am -1:00 pm. If you are in need of assistance with groceries, you are welcome to stop by.
