God clearly places the responsibility of caring for orphaned children squarely on believers. At Canyon Hills, caring for children who have suffered abuse and neglect is not just our duty, it is our great privilege.
For many years, Canyon Hills has partnered with Royal Family Kids Camp to send foster kids from our community to a week long camp where they are treated like royalty! Kids enjoy horseback riding, games, tea parties, and everybody gets a birthday party. Children are also shown the love of God, hands on, by the staff that volunteers a week of their time to go to camp.
Several years after Canyon Hills had been participating with Royal Family Kids Camp, we felt compelled to do more for the foster children in our community and Covenant Community Services was born.
Covenant Community services offers a wide range of services for children who are in the foster care system, young adults who have become emancipated, and families who are interested in foster care and adoption. In addition to being a licensed Foster Care and Adoption Agency, Covenant provides mentoring, therapeutic behavioral services, family preservation services and a living facility for youth who have aged out of the foster care system.
