So, you can’t go to Africa. . .
India? Brazil? Are you too young? Have a job? Are you afraid of shots? Join the 2012 Walk for Tribes! This Walk is for anyone who wants to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but yet is not able to go over seas. This is your chance to be part of the Gospel going into the entire world.
The 2012 Walk-4-Tribes is a Festival and Walk that’s purpose is to raise funds and awareness for people groups and tribes around the world who have nothing; no school, no health care or medical provision, poor water sources, and has not yet had one chance to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s time for everyone to play their part!
Here’s what you CAN do. . .
Walk- by yourself, or build a Tribe and walk with some friends and family!
Find sponsors- These are people who can sponsor you per lap or hour walked, or just a flat donation. Shoot for 10 people to give you $10, and you've raised $100 for an unreached tribe!
Spread the word and invite people to come walk with you!
It’s that easy!
Check in will begin at 8 am on Saturday June 16th at Central Park, 600 19th St, Bakersfield, CA, with the Walk starting at 9 am. There will be a parking lot available for FREE parking- first come, first serve. In addition, there is street parking available.
If tribes and people groups around the world, have to walk hours on end, rain or shine, to market places, doctors, and water sources, then so will we.
If you are part of a partnering ministry or organization, your Tribe Chief will give you a meeting time and place. Once your team has arrived, you will check in under the “Tribe Check In” booth, near the Mill Creek Bridge. If you are just a solo walker, you can check in there as well.
If you are unable to Walk in the event, or if you want to just give a helping hand, volunteers are needed!
