We believe that our greatest calling is to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ from the neighborhood to the nations! There are two primary ways we accomplish this. First, we believe God has entrusted us with an area of central California from the Sierras to the Central Coast. Over the last several years, we have planted and revitalized other campuses in places that are supernaturally positioned to reach the lost. Second, we are passionate about taking the message of salvation to the unreached around the world. To that end, a great deal of our energy and resources are directed toward identifying and reaching people groups around the world that have never had one chance to hear the Gospel.

Canyon Hills is a church that takes God’s Word seriously. There are some commands in Scripture that we think are a really big deal. That’s why we emphasize feeding the hungry, caring for widows and orphans, and reaching out to the broken and lost. We have discovered that when we take God at His Word, He blesses us for it. CityServe was birthed out of our conviction that God calls the local church to confront the most entrenched needs of its community. We've studied Scripture and used that to develop our compassion template: ten categories of people listed in Scripture that God calls us to care for. In each of these ten areas, we are blessed to collaborate with incredible leaders locally, nationally and globally to see community transformation and Kingdom impact around the world.

This month, CityServe is highlighting the Exploited Initiative, which exists to bring light into dark places and stand with those affected by exploitation and human trafficking. Through this initiative, we work to raise awareness, support prevention efforts, and help fund organizations that provide rescue, restoration, and long-term care for survivors. Together, we have the opportunity to protect the vulnerable, advocate for justice, and be part of bringing hope and freedom where it’s needed most.

“And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”
