You’re invited to celebrate Easter at Canyon Hills.

Easter reminds us that the very same power that defeated death is available for us today! We celebrate the resurrection with hope because we believe that Jesus’ victory means that we can live victoriously.

We have multiple Easter events happening that you won’t want to miss. Mark your calendars!

Palm Sunday Service | April 10th | 9:30am

He was seated on a donkey, robed in victory, and welcomed into the city of Jerusalem with shouts of praise and waving of palm branches. Palm Sunday is a stark contrast to what would happen just days later. Jesus entered the city knowing He would be tried and crucified, yet He welcomed His fate. Palm Sunday is both a day of celebration, knowing Jesus would overcome the grave, but also a day to commemorate the sacrifice He made for our eternal life with the Father.

Join us for a celebration service in appreciation of Jesus’s sacrifice for our redemption.

“They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the King of Israel!” John 12:13

Good Friday Communion Service | April 15th | 12:15pm

It may seem like there’s nothing good about Good Friday. Jesus was arrested, beaten and mocked then lead to the cross where He would pay the ultimate price for us all. On this somber Friday, we remember the crucifixion of Jesus and His death at Calvary. It’s Good-for-us Friday because of Christ’s sacrifice we are justified. We reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice with sadness and joy as we rejoice knowing what would happen 3 days later.

On Good Friday, we join in communion and worship to remember and honor the life that took our place.

“and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again.”  Mark 10:34

Sunrise Service | April 17th | 6:00am | Hillcrest Memorial Park

At sunrise on the third day, they went to check on His tomb but found the stone rolled away and the tomb empty. We can only imagine what that must have been like—to see His death and then witness His resurrection. The anguish of the cross has been replaced by the joy of the Resurrection. Jesus is no longer dead, but He is alive!

The sunrise service is a beautiful community gathering, where we’ll worship as the sun rises and declare the hope found in our risen Savior!

“But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.” Mark 16:6

Easter Service | April 17th | 9:30am

Jesus has robbed the grave! His death made an impact, but it was Jesus’ resurrection that would change humanity forever! It signifies a new covenant with the Father and it’s that same power that raised Him from the grave that we have access to. No longer are we dead in our sins, but we are ALIVE in Christ Jesus.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 1 Peter 1:3

On Resurrection Sunday we will gather for one giant celebration service! Enjoy an Easter devotional from Pastor Wendell Vinson and powerful worship. After service enjoy coffee and donuts on the patio and a free Easter egg hunt for children ages 2-12.

Would you make it a point to find one person who could use a little hope this Easter and invite them to come with you to experience all that new life in Jesus has to offer? You can give the gift of hope to someone who needs it by simply extending an invitation for them to join you this Easter. We can’t wait to celebrate the resurrection with you!
