THE PRISONER INITIATIVE

"I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’…

“And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’”

Matthew 25:36, 40

The American criminal justice system holds almost 2.3 million people across the federal, state and local levels. While national recidivism rates show that approximately 68% of individuals are rearrested within 3 years, targeted faith-based initiatives have reported recidivism rates as low as 7–13%.

You can help change someoNe's story

There are people in our community ready for a fresh start—but they need someone to walk with them. That’s where you come in. What people need most is not another program, not more information - they need someone who will show up, stay consistent, and believe in them.

Correspondence Team: Write letters and share encouragement with those still incarcerated. Bring hope into places that feel forgotten. Prison Ministry Team: Serve inside correctional facilities through presence, teaching, and care. Mentorship Team: Build real relationships with individuals rebuilding their lives.
