in the Summit

HERstory is a monthly event where we gather to worship, fellowship and encouraged one another to live out our daily lives as Godly women. Every month we share our stories and celebrate all the many things God has done in our lives. We'd love for you to join us at our next HERstory, we can't wait to meet you!

Hey, girl! We can't wait to meet you!

Groups for Women

We want to know you and journey alongside you. Canyon Hills Women offers various groups that will encourage you and inspire you to be the Godly woman God designed you to be.

Embrace Life

Embrace Life is a group for single moms of school-aged kids, that equips them with practical tools to grow in their spiritual walk while navigating the challenges of motherhood.

Ladies Bible Study

Dive deeper into the Word and discover the rich knowledge of the Bible. Through small group discussions and personal application, each study will take you on a new journey through God's Word. Ladies Bible Study will help you grow stronger in your walk with the Lord and develop great relationships with other women.

Anxious For Nothing

Explore God’s promise in Philippians 4:4–8, and teaches that while anxiety is part of life, it doesn’t have to dominate life. As you follow God’s prescription for worry – celebrate his goodness, ask for help, leave your concerns with him, meditate on good things – you will experience his peace. You can stop letting anxiety rule your day, and find true calm and contentment in Christ.

Meet Ups for Women

We get it, making new friends can be hard! That's why we have meet ups! These hang outs make it easy to get to know each other.

Canyon Moms

Canyon Moms is a group designed for moms with young children where you can build authentic community with other moms while enjoying fellowship and listening to dynamic speakers talk about important topics affecting moms. Join us as we gather together to learn, have fun, and support one another in this beautiful yet challenging season of motherhood.

Lemons to Laughter

Many of the women who suffer the loss of a spouse want to connect, but they are unsure how to get started. Lemons to Laughter is a Meetup for widows to offer support and friendship to each other. Every month we gather together and plan various activities like luncheons, shopping trips and holiday parties.

Women With a Mission

Women With a Mission is a group of ladies who use their skills in crafting, quilting, and even baking to support missionaries and other various outreach opportunities. Some of their creations include prayer quilts for anyone in need and personal hygiene kits for women in developing countries. If you are looking for community and want to serve others, this is the group for you!

Threads of Hope

Threads of Hope is a group of women who use their skills in crafting and sewing to sew and/or assemble personal hygiene kits for women in developing countries. They also use their skills to make cozy blankets for local senior centers and foster children through Royal Family Kids Camp. No sewing skills necessary. They meet on the 1st Monday of the month (unless it is a holiday.)

Meet ups are happening all throughout the year. From movie nights to ice cream socials, we do it all and we'd love for you to join us! Stay connected to all things Canyon Hills Women.

Resources for Women

It's never too early or too late to receive help.

Heart to Heart Counseling

This counseling ministry is for women who need help navigating difficulties in their life.  A trained team of lay women (not licensed counselors) meets with those wanting help, up to six times, to encourage them through the Scriptures on how they can move forward.  All meetings are confidential. If you're facing a difficult season and want help, call the church office at 661-871-1150 and ask for the Women’s Ministry counseling coordinator.

The mentor program is a great opportunity to grow spiritually, receive Godly council and make a life-long friend. Whether you're feeling called to pour into the next generation or looking for someone to come alongside you to pray and speak wisdom into your life, the mentoring program is for you.

Established in 2004, Reflections is a 10-week Bible study designed for women who have personally experienced abortion. Reflections is a safe, confidential haven to address the complex issues that result from abortion while providing a pathway to experience the healing, grace and freedom God desires to give.

Project Hope

In partnership with the Southern California network of Assembly of God churches, Canyon Hills Women’s Ministry organizes various outreaches  to raise funds that benefit The Gateway Project, a missions outreach to Egypt. This missions outreach has three initiatives: church plants in Egypt, The Clean Water Gospel and Champions Club, a special needs ministry for children and adults.

Project Rescue

We are passionate about seeing victims of human trafficking set free. Throughout the year, we hold several events designed to raise funds and awareness in our community to free captives locally, nationally and globally including our annual Red Bucket Day.

Red Bucket Day is a community-wide, drive-by donation event. We partner with local businesses and strategically station volunteers at various locations throughout the city to receive donations.
